t-drill extrapolation
In the industrial pipe sector, T-DRILL is a technology used to create branches directly from the pipe, without having to weld external fittings. The principle is to deform the pipe material in a controlled manner, allowing part of the metal to emerge and forming a reinforced collar onto which another pipe can be connected.
This system reduces the number of welds, making the part stronger and more reliable, as well as speeding up production and reducing costs. It is used in many industrial sectors, such as plant engineering, HVAC, automotive, and oil & gas, and can be used on various materials, including steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum.
